Filipinos, much like the Chinese, are probably among the most ubiquitous nationalities in world. They are scattered around the globe and are found practically every where, even in such unlikely places as Maputo in Africa, where a friend of mine, a Filipino lawyer, lives; Somalia and Afghanistan. Once, while I was in the washroom of a hotel in the little-known state of Fribourg in Switzerland, I was delighted to meet a Filipina who was there to audit the hotel.
