DAWN-TUCP announces new set of officers for 2001-2004
The General Assembly and election of officers of the DAWN-TUCP was held last March 7, 2001. The three-year term of office was one of the important amendments on the Rules of Administration.
The women's committees of the Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) and the Samahan ng Manggagawang Pilipino - National Alliance of Teachers and Office Workers (SMP-NATOW) are the new affiliates of DAWN-TUCP, while the KAKASAHA-ISP is an associate and collaborator organization.
The new sets of officers are the members of the National Executive Committee and the Functional Committees. Three Area Chairpersons were also elected to represent the country's three major island groupings - Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao. The position was created to decentralize DAWN-TUCP's functions and operations.

Among the resolutions adopted by the delegates were changing the women's department to be the TUCP Equality Department and recognizing Sis. Consuelo M. Angco as the Honorary Chairperson of DAWN-TUCP. She is the outgoing Chairperson who served for two terms.
